Whats happen at Country Taste Farm
Weekly progress on the tomatoes we started Planting February 15th.
We will be starting the Wood Fired Boiler, we harvest all the wood from our Farm. We use the heat to supplement heating needs for our Greenhouse’s, so I wanted to know how much carbon it put out. This is what I found.
The carbon dioxide released when burning wood (about 1900g CO2 for each 1000g of wood burnt) is balanced by the fact that this carbon was taken up by the tree from the air when it grew. So this part of the emissions is carbon-neutral. May 19, 2008 Originally posted on Transition Network
